  • The Ford 6000 was ahead of its time,anyone who takes a close look will see the JD 3010/4010 tractors which came out 2-3 years after the Ford 6000 came on the market are layed out the same,fuel tank in the front,engine set to the back and I was told many years ago the same engineer who came up with selecto-speed shift on the go with out a clutch needed later engineered power shift for JD,you put a JD 3010/4010 and a Ford 6000 side by side and the only general difference is the color of the paint
